GOZART is a non for profit art organisation which aims to nurture the creativity of individuals and groups in our community and the artists working with them.
GOZART run projects in partnership with local organisations and artists to provide a regular programme of activities.
We facilitate carnival art workshops such as puppetry, masks, painting, floats as well as performances with Giant Puppets at public events.
We would like to say that throughout the years Gozart has been successfully involved with numerous performances with giant puppets such as at the London Olympics, the Festival of Culture, Thames Festival, Notting Hill Carnival. We worked with Milton Cunha, artistic director of the Rio Carnival at the UKCCA, we had a close collaboration with the Amazonian Spectacular Project during the residencies and performances at Liverpool, Great Yartmouth and Luton, see videos on our next page, as well as performances and carnival art workshops at the South Bank, Hillingdon, Southwark, Latin American Theatre Festival, London Museum of Transport, Cambridge University and Lambeth Country Show. We also created a carnival float for the Lord Mayor's Show, see our “past work” page for further information.
During Gozart art activities participants enjoy opportunities that are integral to their learning processes
GOZART is committed to the promotion of equal opportunities and the elimination of discrimination experienced by people on the grounds of gender, age, race, colour, religion, ethnic origin, nationality, class, sexual orientation, marital status or disability.
